The easiest five stars I’ve ever given out. Dr. Hooper goes above and beyond to make sure his patients are taken care of. When I had a concern with blurriness in my eye he was available to go talk through my symptoms and diagnose the issue while out of office. With his diagnosis I was able to give my eye the treatment it needed and had my concerns relieved. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Hooper for your eye care needs.

I recently had eye surgery for a chalazion that left me with many unanswered questions. After expressing this concern, Dr. Hooper freely completed an additional eye exam and provided very detailed information on further treatment and prevention options. This information was more helpful than any past Ophthalmologist appointment from the biggest Cleveland area hospitals. Dr. Hooper went above and beyond the routine eye exam to assure I was at ease and correctly informed.

I first saw Dr. Hooper almost 5 years ago, and when he opened a practice of his own, I knew I had to follow. He is, by far, the best eye doctor I have ever seen (pun intended). He is thorough in every exam, professional in every way, and truly epitomizes patient care above all else. The office is beautiful, state-of-the-art, and welcoming. The office manager, Annie, is just the sweetest person. These two make a visit to the doctor feel like home. I couldn’t recommend West Side Preventative Eye Care more!!

Until I started seeing Dr. Hooper, I never knew that I had such a unique prescription. Dr. Hooper took a lot of time with me to explain that I had previously been in a contact lens prescription that was not specialized enough to allow me to see clearly given my heavy astigmatism. Unlike any other doctor I had seen, he ordered several trials for me until he found the perfect lens for my vision and comfort. I didn’t know it was possible to see this well out of my contacts. Dr. Hooper is very patient and truly cares about each of his patients. I highly recommend West Side Preventative EyeCare!

We drove from the east side of Lake County to work with Dr. Ryan Hooper in Rocky River. It was refreshing to have a young optometrist who is knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He helped me find a great prescription for my glasses, which will help ease the soreness in my eyes from staring at a computer screen all day. It was also very convenient to be able to see Dr. Hooper on a Saturday since I have my own small business. His Office Manager, Annie, kept us up to date with appointment reminders and working with our vision insurance company.
Personable, knowledgeable, professional. While working in Texas, Dr. Hooper took the time to listen to my questions (on everything from basic eye exams, to myelinated nerve fiber layers, to contact lens brands) and give me answers that were thorough, straightforward, and easy to understand. Sad to see him relocate to Ohio. Highly recommended.
